MEDIA RELEASE
Launceston City FC is pleased to announce the reappointment of Lino Sciulli as their Head Coach in the PS4 Victory League
for 2016.
Sciulli has been instrumental in the improvement of Launceston City FC from being the league easy beats to now becoming
a more formidable opponent. After the final round of matches this weekend, it is possible City will finish in 5th position,
which is a remarkable result after collecting the wooden spoon in the 2 prior seasons. This also brings finals football back
to Mitsubishi Park, which the whole club is excited to be part of.
President Austin Fagan comments as follows:
“On behalf of the Committee, Player Group, Members and supporters, I am very pleased to confirm Lino has been
reappointed for next season as Head Coach in the PS4 Victory League for season 2016.
In a season where improvement was required, Lino has delivered a respectable result and I look forward to him continuing
the development of our player group. Lino has been proactive in nurturing many youngsters in his time at the club and we
are now starting to reap the rewards. Under Lino, the Victory League squad has achieved significant improvement from the
first 2 seasons and we look forward to this continuing.
Launceston City FC will continue to look at strengthening its squad during the off season and has several import
opportunities currently being explored. We are also looking forward to seeing some of our talented youngsters in the
Northern Championship / U18 squad continuing to develop their football as part of the Victory League program in 2016.
LIno has the full support of the Board, playing group, members and supporters of Launceston City FC to carry on the good
work into the 2016 season.”
